Tips, tricks & providers for your journey to Space Creator Day by car, train or plane.
Like last year, Space Creator Day 2023 will take place on the grounds of the Technik Museum in Speyer. However, we have moved the center of the event to the event hall adjacent to the museum. This can be entered via the museum's parking lot or alternatively through the museum grounds. For the latter, a separate ticket for the Technik Museum Speyer must be purchased, which then entitles the holder to enter the museum and its exhibitions for the entire day.
The Technik Museum Speyer is located directly at the federal highway 39 and is easy to reach via the Autobahn A6 & A61. In front of the museum there are two large parking lots which are available free of charge for visitors of the Space Creator Day.
The address of the Technik Museum Speyer is:
Am Technik Museum 1, 67346 Speyer, Germany.
The nearest train station is the one in Speyer. This is located in the city center and is about 30 minutes away from the Technik Museum on foot. Alternatively, buses shuttle between the station and the Technik Museum at regular intervals.
If you are traveling from a greater distance, you should first travel by long-distance train to a larger station such as Mannheim or Ludwigshafen. From there, suburban trains and regional trains run at regular intervals to the station in Speyer. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
The nearest international airport is Frankfurt/Main (FRA) and is located about 90 kilometers north of Speyer. By car, the drive from the airport to Speyer via the A67 and A6 highways takes about an hour, depending on traffic. Alternatively, the airport is also easily accessible by train via Mannheim or Mainz.
This year, the Space Creator Day Ticket is also a ticket for the Rhine-Neckar Transport Network (VRN). On the day of the event (October 21, 2023) you can travel free of charge with your ticket in the entire tariff area of the VRN with buses, suburban trains, RE and RB trains.
The ticket's area of validity extends in a north-south direction from Guntersblum to Lauterbourg and in a west-east direction from Homburg to Rothenburg o. d. Tauber. The tariff area also includes the nearby cities of Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg.
